Illustrator,

Hi, my name is

Julia Sutton

Art Director
+
RARE DISEASE Advocate

i know we've just met,

but call me juj

i am juj sutton & i create as juj.ink

juj.ink is not a brand. i'm a one-being-show supported by phenomenal friends & family.

i started illustrating a few years ago at the same time that i was losing mobility in my hands & arms completely. somehow, illustrating distracted from the numbness of my fingers & forearms, as well as the pain radiating throughout my upper body. eventually i was diagnosed with a rare disease that required major surgery, 16 surgeries in total. i have since been working diligently & relentlessly on regaining the mobility & strength of my upper body, my arms, my hands, & my fingers. i have been determined to not let my disabilities impact my progress as an illustrator & could not wait to regain the fine motor skills i knew were waiting to return. i am elated to be back to drawing, & can't wait to get back to even more as i continue to regain function.

i create with the intention to bring others joy, familiarity, & good juju. i have hauled my previous attempts at having an online presence to the trash, so please, go easy on me.

LOCAL WITCH, CHRONICALLY CH-ILL.

Keep in mind-

be kind or

be quiet xx

As a chronically ill, disabled artist I've learned that there's always a way around the obstacles put in front of us. As an advocate, I'm here to help navigate & overcome those obstacles together.

follow along for a little extra zjuzj
